According to Boligsiden, the supply of apartments for sale in Copenhagen municipality rose 68.5% year on year in early September 2026, while house supply nationwide fell 14.2%.
According to Boligsiden, there were 6,331 apartments for sale in Denmark at the beginning of September 2026, 2.5% more than a month earlier and 2.2% fewer than a year earlier. The picture differs sharply by region.
In the Capital Region the supply of apartments was 3,120, up 8.9% on the month and 24.5% on the year. In Copenhagen municipality it was 1,955, up 11.7% on the month and 68.5% on the year. Nationwide, 29,619 houses and townhouses were for sale, 1.4% fewer than a month earlier and 14.2% fewer than a year earlier.
Boligsiden's communications director and housing economist Birgit Daetz said they had not previously seen such a large increase in supply at this time of year in Copenhagen, adding that the supply has doubled since January.
These are supply figures, not prices; a rise in listings can affect negotiating room, but check price data and local conditions before buying.
