According to Statistics Finland, prices of old dwellings in housing companies fell 3.3% year on year in August, and sales through agents were 8.5% lower.
According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased by 3.3 per cent year on year across the country in August 2026. Compared with July, prices were unchanged.
Dwellings in blocks of flats were 3.8 per cent cheaper than a year earlier and terraced houses 2.0 per cent cheaper. In the six largest towns prices fell by 2.9 per cent and outside the large towns by 3.8 per cent. Greater Helsinki recorded a decline of 3.5 per cent year on year, while the month-on-month change was +0.8 per cent.
By city, prices were 3.7 per cent lower in Helsinki and 3.3 per cent lower in Turku, while Oulu was up by 2.0 per cent. The number of old dwellings sold through real estate agents was 8.5 per cent lower than in August 2025.
