Which overseas-property destinations can be reached from Polish airports without a connection, typical flight times, and why routes change by season.
If you live in Poland and plan to buy abroad, the flight decides how often you will actually use the property and how easy it is to go and look at it. A direct flight of two or three hours makes a long weekend realistic. A trip with two connections turns every visit into a project. This page collects what we could confirm about direct routes from Polish airports to the places where our readers buy. Airline schedules change twice a year and sometimes in between, so treat it as a map of what exists, not as a timetable.
How to read this page
Low-cost carriers such as Wizz Air and Ryanair open and cut routes by season. A route that runs in July may stop in November, and one announced for summer may be dropped. Before you book a viewing trip, check the airline site or the airport page for exact dates and weekdays. We give no ticket prices: fares move daily and the figures we saw were promotional offers for single dates, not typical prices. Flight times below are typical rounded durations from Warsaw and are our estimates, not timetable data.
Cyprus: Larnaca and Paphos
Cyprus is among the best-connected overseas markets from Poland. Flight search portals list direct flights to Larnaca from Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk, Wroclaw, Poznan and Radom for autumn and winter 2026, and to Paphos from Warsaw, Gdansk, Katowice and Krakow. Typical flight time is about three and a half to four hours. Polish aviation press reported that Wizz Air cut summer frequencies from Wroclaw, Gdansk and Katowice to Larnaca, so weekly flights can be fewer than you expect. For the market itself see buying property in Cyprus from Poland, Larnaca and Paphos.
Bulgaria: Varna, Burgas, Sofia
For summer 2026 Wizz Air announced Varna flights from the Warsaw area (Modlin was named in one source), Katowice and Wroclaw, and a Radom to Burgas route twice a week from late July. Seasonal Gdansk to Burgas flights have also operated. Flight time is roughly two to two and a half hours. Sofia is served from Poland by several carriers, but we did not verify current routes city by city. Resort routes are summer-heavy: if you want to see Sunny Beach or Varna in March, you may need a Sofia flight and a drive. See buying property in Bulgaria from Poland.
Greece
We confirmed two examples only: Wizz Air announced Gdansk to Athens from 1 May 2026 and Krakow to Rhodes for summer 2026. Other Greek airports are served from Polish cities, mostly in summer, but we did not verify them one by one. Typical flight time is about two and a half to three and a half hours, depending on the island.
Montenegro: Podgorica and Tivat
Wizz Air opened a base in Podgorica on 30 March 2026 with new routes, a LOT flight between Warsaw and Podgorica is listed in a Montenegrin timetable summary, and Ryanair announced Poznan to Podgorica. Typical flight time is about two hours fifteen minutes. We could not confirm direct flights from Poland to Tivat for the current season; the airport is strongly seasonal, so check before you plan around it.
Spain and Portugal
Ryanair announced Katowice to Malaga, and Warsaw to Faro and Warsaw to Porto, for 2026. Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca (Alicante) and Lisbon are regularly served from Poland, but we did not confirm current Polish departure airports for them. Typical flight time is about four hours to Spain and four to four and a half hours to the Algarve. Price pages: Spain and Portugal.
Turkey: Antalya
Antalya is a mass holiday destination with many flights from Poland, mostly in the warm season. We did not verify current routes by city. Typical flight time is about three and a half hours.
Georgia
Direct flights to Kutaisi are the main low-cost route: portals list Poznan, Warsaw and Katowice departures in autumn 2026. Warsaw to Tbilisi appears in fare listings, but we could not confirm it as a regular route, and we found no confirmed direct flight to Batumi. Batumi and Tbilisi are a few hours by road from Kutaisi. Typical flight time is about four hours. See buying property in Georgia remotely.
Dubai and Thailand
Dubai: a flight-data site shows Emirates daily from Warsaw, flydubai from 1 October 2026 and LOT from 25 October 2026, about six and a half hours. Thailand: per Polish press, LOT resumed Warsaw to Bangkok on 7 October 2026, three times a week at the start, about ten hours twenty minutes. Phuket and Pattaya generally mean a connection. These are aggregator and press sources, not airline schedules.
Which airport suits you
Warsaw has the widest choice, but Krakow, Katowice, Wroclaw, Gdansk and Poznan have good seasonal links to Cyprus, Bulgaria, Georgia and Spain. Add the time to reach the airport and the weekdays of the flight: a route that flies twice a week can force a seven-day trip when you wanted three days. For an owner, year-round service matters more than a cheap summer fare. If you are still choosing a country, use the country comparison.
FAQ
Is there a direct flight from Poland to every country on this page? No. Spain, Portugal, Greece and Turkey have routes, but which Polish city is served depends on the season. Check the airline site. Are the flight times exact? No, they are typical rounded durations. Why did a route disappear? Low-cost airlines add and cut routes by season and demand. Should I buy because there is a cheap flight? No; a flight is a convenience, not an investment case, see total cost of ownership abroad. How long should a viewing trip be? Plan three to five days so that viewings and a lawyer meeting fit.
