According to HomesOverseas, citing the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia (SURS), residential property in Slovenia rose in price by 3.0% in the first quarter of 2026 compared with the previous quarter and by 9.3% year on year. Growth was recorded in both the new-build and resale markets.
Finished (existing) homes as a whole rose 2.3% on the fourth quarter of 2025: apartments by 3.2% and houses by only 0.9%. The most noticeable rise in resales was in Maribor (up 5.5%), while in the capital Ljubljana resale prices fell slightly, by 0.3%. New builds showed steadier quarterly growth of 6.9%, with new apartments up 7.3% and new houses up 5.0%, which indicates continued demand in the primary market despite higher prices.
The total value of residential property sold in the quarter was €499.4 million. On the secondary market 2,512 objects were sold, in line with the average level of the previous year, for a total of €474.7 million.
